In case you haven't noticed, North Phoenix is booming! With the massive building going on with the Taiwan Semiconductor plant, the large residential community of Union Park in the Norterra area, new office buildings, and the expansion of the Shops at Norterra, the drive north on I-17 is hardly recognizable from 5 years ago, and this torrid pace of development sees no sign of slowing. North Phoenix is an excellent spot for commuters as it is easy to get on the 101 for east/west travel, or I-17 for north/south travel.

So in case North Phoenix has escaped your attention, we've compiled some condos in the area you should see if you are looking to buy in the near future.

Get New Around Norterra

The newest condo addition to North Phoenix is Pinnacle at Union Park. These sizable townhomes have 3 bedrooms and are an excellent option for buyers that don't want upkeep or first-time buyers trying to keep costs down a bit over the nearby single family homes. You're not skimping on the lifestyle by living here, because Union Park has a dizzying array of amenities, including several pools, cabanas, event meeting spaces, pickleball courts, basketball courts, playgrounds and more. Pinnacle residents can easily walk to the Shops at Norterra for a bite to eat, coffee, or some shopping.

The little gem just south of Carefree Highway

Surrounded by desert washes with mountains in the background is the gated community of Desert Village at Sonoran Foothills. With a resort style pool and lots of green space and trees, the surroundings give you a sense of spaciousness when you visit this little community. Balconies are large and meant to be an extension of the indoor living space.

The hidden oasis next to the foothills

Because of its location away from some of the main roads in the Norterra area, Fireside at Norterra is a quiet oasis next to the foothills. The crown jewel of Fireside is the community center that arguably belongs on the cover of Architectural Digest. The community center has several gathering spaces, a large fitness center and a fun climbing wall. The pools are exceptional too, with a children's play pool and pool for lap swimming. Hikers will love the trailhead in the area for miles of desert hiking. Choose between the townhome styles with private patio or the two-story condo buildings right next to the community center.

Some Choices for First Time Homebuyers

Love Norterra but looking for something a little more affordable? Check out Villagio at Happy Valley, a block away from Norterra shopping and restaurants, yet still well priced. HOA fees are low too.

Another choice for first time homebuyers is further east, just off of Cave Creek Road. Desert Peak has very reasonable prices and has both condo styles and townhome styles with a back patio. You'll enjoy the desert environment with playground, green space and walking paths, but you'll have to jump in the car to get to stores and restaurants.
